ONLINE PROJECTS FOR THE NEWSROOM, RUN BY MACLEAY COLLEGE
2014-2017
This is a series of articles I wrote in the news team, world news team and sports team. I was not in a photo journalism team for The Newsroom, however, my article 'Union asks people to join campaign for better health' has a photo I took, as does a series of photos I took for Hatch Macleay, the replacement site for The Newsroom. I wrote more sports pieces than news and world stories during my time there. There are a few stories with shared bylines, but I have tried to jumble all of this online portfolio around to give variety.

PROJECTS
Even though I'm a bit older than many people who apply for work in the media, I'm happy to do what many younger journalism people do.
Ok, so I understand you want to see how I look and sound on camera. Well then, here on my website you can view my cross between a showreel and a video cv. It's all recent stuff, rather than my earlier work. Hopefully it shows you might just be able to teach an old dog new tricks.
Seriously though, please also listen to my radio demo, which features a mix of news airchecks (also on this website).
Radio news is in my media DNA. When I was in radio school, back in the day, my best work was my news.
Even when I write copy for online media (or print, as it used to be called) I hear my radio voice inside my head while I write the words.
If you want to hear this voice, just click on my radio demo.
